Gene Parker, Jr.

Gene Parker Jr. is a highly accomplished Information Technology Executive with a record of achievement in IT Solution Delivery, Business Consulting, Application Development, Product Design, Project Management, Process Improvements, and Enterprise IT Governance. His experience is amplified by exposure to a wide range of industries such as Retail eCommerce (Apparel, Consumer Electronics, Gifting, Sports/ Sporting Goods, and Toys), Healthcare, Financial Services, and Aerospace & Defense. Gene’s career has spanned roles at IBM, eBay, Belk, Premier Healthcare, and currently Novant Health. In this current role, Gene leads all digital application development spanning Novant’s web/ mobile applications for patients, consumers, caregivers, healthcare providers, team members, and job seekers. 

 

Gene has an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Industrial Engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Maryland University College. Gene is also a certified project management professional (PMP) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB). His hobbies include real estate development/ construction, traveling, and volunteering/ mentoring.
