Angela Parker

VP of Training and Education

My Story

Angela Parker has worked in the education industry for 20 years, serving as a school psychologist, reading specialist, and teacher. In her current role, Angela is a School Psychologist II for Rock Hill Schools/York 3, South Carolina. Prior to this, she was a School Psychologist for Red Clay School District, Wilmington, DE. 

 

Angela uses her knowledge and expertise of state laws, federal IDEA guidelines, and ADA regulations related to special education to assist school districts in providing appropriate support for students with disabilities and preventing and recovering from due process hearings. As a School Psychologist, she has been responsible for overseeing the district’s implementation of assessments/ evaluations, psychological reports, individualized educational plans, and positive behavior intervention supports. Additionally, she serves as a mental health liaison, consultant, and crisis responder for Student Assistance Teams. Angela is also a team member of the PREPaRE School Crisis Prevention team, Intervention Training Curriculum workgroup, and Strategic Planning committees. 

 

For over ten years of her career, Angela served as a reading specialist and teacher in Cobb County School District (Atlanta, GA), Norristown School District (Norristown, PA), and Red Clay School District (Wilmington, DE). During her tenure as a teacher, she has educated students with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, attention deficit disorders, developmental delays, emotional disabilities, hearing impairments, vision impairments, and other health impairments.

 

Angela received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Pittsburgh. In addition to her bachelor’s degree, she holds a Master of Education in Education from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her second Master of Arts degree is in Counseling and School Psychology from Immaculata University.
